The high-quality 1-litre mineral oil lubricates the compressor's engine, but at the same time it also cools the engine. Therefore, it is an important component for the compressor on oil.
The oil has a long service life. When you start the compressor, it will quickly lubricate the machine. The compressors are already supplied with this oil from the factory. This keeps the compressor in top condition even under tough working conditions.
Compressor oil meets the following classifications:
DIN 51506 VDL (Protection against oxidation, air compression temperatures up to 220°C and Corrosion. Oil suitable for two-stage compressors.);
DIN 51506 VBL (Protection against oxidation, air compression temperatures up to 160°C and Corrosion);
ISO 6743 L-DAA 100;
ISO VG 100.
Changing oil
It is best to change oil every year or when the operating hours have been made according to the manual. Oil gets cloudy, which can cause things to clog up, making the compressor perform worse. More information on compressor maintenance can be found here.
Turn on the engine for a while, because when the oil is warm it runs out easily. Remember to always have the compressor off and off power when taking out the oil plug and drain plug. Use a container to catch all the oil and once the sump is empty, put the drain plug back in. Top up the new oil and check with the dipstick when the recommended level is reached. When you're done, put the oil plug back on and the compressor will be ready to use again.
